Recent Drugstore Make Up Purchases!

Hey Beauts,

Sometimes when I haven't spent money in a while, hauls like this happen. It's not necessarily something I am proud of, however most things here are something I have wanted to divulge in for a while now and deep down I am secretly so happy that I have spent the money on these beauts for myself. That is what life is.

Essence Lip Liner in Cute Pink 07 & Maybelline ColorSensational in Mauve Mania 342
Essence Lip Liner in Femme Fatale 14 & Revlon Ultra HD in Gladiolus 875

Revlon Colorburst in Striking 240 - Vivacious 120 - Crush 005

Bourjois Blush in Golden Lilac 33 - Bourjois Bronzing Powder in 52

It all started one night whilst picking up a few cleaning essentials whilst in Wilkos. I passed the Collection stand and noticed they actually had their fair shade of the lasting perfection concealer in stock. Without hesitation I popped two of them into my basket and one of the cool medium shade as they were on 3 for 2. At £4.18 each, I couldn't complain but these have for sure gotten more expensive over the years. Whilst there I also decided on the two Essence lip liners at a steal of £1 each.

The next day I somehow ended up at Boots and bought the rest of this haul. The Revlon ColorBurst Balms are something I have been lusting over for well over a year now. They always seem to be on 3 for 2 and the two shades 120 & 005 have never been in stock at the same time. So when I found that they were, I was over the moon and at £7.99 each I can definatly say they are well worth the money. I also could not stop staring at the Revlon Ultra HD lipstick (£7.99) in this stunning red shade which smells amazingly of vanilla.

Still speaking of lipsticks, I wanted to find a lovely mauve/taupe colour to go with my new Essence lip liner and so I decided upon a Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick (£8.99) and whilst there I also couldn't resist picking up a SuperStay 24 Color Lippy (£8.99) as they stay on super well and I just love lipsticks. Plus Maybelline were on 3 for 2 also and I needed a new Lash Sensational (£7.99) In black.

Lastly, I decided to pick up a few face products. I really wanted to try a drugstore bronzer and I've only ever heard great things about the Bourjois bronzing powder (£7.99) and threw it in my basket without hesitation. Still at Bourjois, I spotted this beautiful little round pot blusher (£7.99) and thought it would be a perfect dupe for my beloved (& running out) NARS Orgasm blusher. I then decided this wouldn't be a complete haul without a new foundation so I settled on the Rimmel Match Perfection in 100 Ivory at £7.99. Being there I remembered I actually needed a new Stay Matte Powder in 003 Peach Glow as my current one smashed and so grabbed it at a steal of £3.99.

And that was my haul. What have you been buying lately? Have you tried any of these products? & What do you think of them? I would love to hear all of your thoughts and opinions down in the comments below. NYX Round Lipstick - Review!

Hey Beauts,

The thing I love most about beauty is lipstick. There are so many different shades of lipstick. So many different formulas. So many different brands. So many different names. and yet I want them all. I am on a conquest, I feel, to find the best lipsticks that I can.

This Nyx round lipstick definatly does not disappoint. This is one of my all time favourite lipsticks and yet it is the only Nyx round lipstick that I own. This saddens me. First of all, the colour, 'Chic Red', is a beautiful colour - absolutely stunning. I feel that for a bright red/pink it suits my skin tone perfectly and the blue undertones in it make my teeth look a lot whiter too. It applies really well as it is a nice and creamy formula that doesn't dry out the lips and to top it off, the last-ability of this is amazing. I can put this on before work in the morning, go to work, talk all day, eat lunch and once I am back in the car after work it will only just be fading in the center of my mouth. No jokes. It lasts so well and hardly bleeds around my lips at all. The formula is perfect. The pigmentation is great. The colour is stunning. I love this lipstick.

I will definatly be picking up more of these as soon as I can as they are so much easier to buy in the UK now as Boots have just started selling Nyx products online and these are a bargain at £4 each. I just won't be able to swatch them before I purchase them. But really, who can complain for £4. I bet they will be sold in Boots stores before we know it.

I seriously cannot wait to pick up more of these! How about you? Have you ever tried anything from the NYX brand? More specifically the round lipsticks? How did you feel about them and what shades do you own? I would love to hear your opinions and thoughts in the comments down below. If you aren't already and would like to be, remember to follow on GFC and BlogLovin' so you don't miss out on any future posts.

My New Obsession - Yankee Candle Wax Tarts!

Hey Beauts,

If you are anything like me, you will be so obsessed with scent - perfume, after shave, body sprays, room freshener, bath bombs and candles etc.  If there is one thing I love most about this new bungalow, it is the fact that every room smells beautiful every time I walk in and out of the different rooms. I think I am in love.

These wax melts are beautiful and the price is beautiful too at £1.49 per melt so they don't break the bank. You do have to buy the melt warmers themselves but I think mine was only about £17.99 which is actually cheaper than a large candle anyway and so much safer. They are powered by a light bulb which gives off heat to melt the wax to give off the scent. If they get too hot, they automatically turn off and there is no lit flame so you can leave them on in different rooms, just like a little lamp.

As much as I love Yankee Candles I feel so much better about buying these. The scent they kick off is powerful and even though they are small, they really do pack a punch of scent out into the room. They only last about 5 evenings which I also don't mind because our noses can become accustomed to scents so you no longer smell them and I really do enjoy regularly changing the scents that I am burning around the home because of this. As you can see, they are really easy to accumulate loads of them (mainly because of how cheap they are) and I have a massive stash of them already.

I also love the decorative-ness of the lights themselves in both the light and the dark as they add a nice atmosphere to any room and are really quite a pleasant to look at and not to bright on the eyes.

Do any of you use the wax melts? What is your favourite Yankee Candle scent? and do you prefer these or the candles? I would love to hear your opinions so please leave a message down in the comments below letting me know. New Look Jewellery Sale Haul!

Hey Beauts,

So I popped into New Look yesterday and stumbled upon a few little beautiful pieces of jewellery to add into my collection. On the plus side, they were all in the sale and lets be honest - who doesn't love a good old sale? I know I do. On the other side - I am suppose to be saving money. Whoops!

Can you believe that all of these were actually all under £5? Well neither could I and that is why I picked them all up. The feather earrings were £1 down from £3.99 and the gold squared earrings were £2 down from £3.99. The beautiful bow was also £1 down from £3.99 and the bracelet was £2 down from £4.99. The best bargains however were the necklaces. The dirty gold coin necklace was £4 down from £9.99 which is great considering I am in love with the little coined detailing and lastly the gold and blush statement necklace was the biggest steal. I paid £2 and it was originally £12.99 - there were no beads or jewels missing and it fits beautifully around my neck line.

I think you would be crazy to miss out on this sale and I certainly didn't realise New Look had such a good sale on jewellery items, especially ones that weren't broken or out-dated. Did you buy anything nice in the sales this year? What stores did you find some great deals in? and did you buy anything jewellery related? I'd love to hear our responses in the comments down below. Happy 2016, What has been going on & Resolutions!

Hey Beauts,

It's been a while hasn't it really since I have sat down and blogged regularly - well that is about to change. I am so determined this year to stick to my goals and new years resolutions. On top of that, I finally feel a calming sensation coming over my life at the moment as it has been so hectic lately, let alone for Christmas, but my partner and I have moved into a much nicer place with much nicer neighbours! More on that later...

So because I failed so much on last years resolutions, this years are pretty much identical so let me get copy & paste out....(don't worry, I have edited them slightly)

1. To lose weight! I saw something on Facebook the other day that went 'I wish I was as skinny as the first time I wanted to lose weight' and by god it is true. I am about 6 or 7 stoner heavier than when I first wanted to lose weight, which is quite sad really seeing as how I was probably only about 12 at the time. But this year, I am so determined to feel happy about myself and whilst I don't want to lose a huge amount, I just want to feel happy and confident with myself.

2. To blog more! I love blogging. Not only to communicate with you beauts, but to look back on my thoughts of products or memories that I would have written down. I could come up with infinite excuses to what happened to my blogging streak I once had (lots of work hours, broken computer, moving out and laziness) but now it is just about starting over and trying again with more willpower! Plus, I have much better lighting in this place than I did in my little flat.

3. To talk to people more! I feel so bad that I am getting on with life so much that I forget to talk to friends. People that I never see anymore from back home and people that I work with on a daily basis. Even though I talk to people when I see them and everything is great, I really feel as though I should try harder at being a great friend by letting my friends know that I am thinking about them and that I love them.

4. To save more! The past few years I have just spent my money willy nilly as part of me felt as though it gave me more freedom. Almost as if 'I've earned this money so I can buy all the nice things'. However I have learnt that to grow up, I need to learn to save money, for financial security and whatnot. Or at least spend it on things that will help me along in life!

5. To start learning to drive! I had two driving lessons once and really enjoyed them. Driving comes with it much freedom too. Not having to rely on public transport or others to give you lifts. Whilst I am not planning on getting a driving license or even a car this year, I can at least attempt to get better at driving.

I feel as though this year will be my year to shine with my new year resolutions and I think that is down to setting small yet achievable goals and not setting one massive goal for the end of the year that seems so unachievable it is unreal.

For example, for losing weight in January;

Week 1 - Just get up and move around more, not necessarily exercise, just walk to the shops and work etc..

Week 2 - Get up and do 5 minutes of high intensity exercise each day. It is only 5 minutes, It is not exactly the most difficult challenge of my life - but it will help.

Week 3 - Do 5 minutes per day as in week 2, but also two extra 25 minute low intensity workouts (maybe pilates or something).

Week 4 - Exactly the same as week 3, but push myself harder in the workouts and make the 25 minute exercises more intense.

However, this was catered for me. I'd say more about eating healthier but as of right now, we don't really have a kitchen at the moment. So I am saving the 'eating healthier' goals for February when the kitchen is in and beautiful. I cannot wait!

As for moving out again - We've moved out! We have moved into a much nicer property, a detached bungalow with lovely old neighbours. I cannot tell you how much I have missed central heating as the flat only had electric heaters. The rent is exactly the same and yet the bungalow is much much nicer and I am over the moon.

So there you have it. I hope my beauts and readers of this blog enjoyed this post - I don't really tell you much of what is going on in my life so I thought this little update was needed. I would absolutely love the hear your thoughts on new years resolutions and what yours are if you have any, so leave a comment down below letting me know. If you aren't already and would like to be, remember you can follow on BlogLovin' and GFC so you don't miss out on any future posts.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream - Review

Hey Beauts,

So today I bring you a review of the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams. I for one have always hated matte lips. I hate the dryness that they bring and I hate the way they look one dimensional. However, I had never actually tried a matte lippy for myself - until now!

At IMATS last year, I was so super excited to be able to check out a NYX stand - especially as I have heard so many good things about their products. I decided 'what the heck' and picked up two Soft Matte Lip Creams in 'San Paulo', a lovely dusty rose shade and 'Monte Carlo', a vibrant red shade, both of which are colours that I am in love with, not to mention the names are brilliant too.

Both of these formulas are amazing. Whereas 'Monte Carlo' looks slightly streaky in the swatches above, another coat would have easily evened out the streaks. 'San Paulo' on the other hand is beautiful in one swift stroke. The doe foot applicator applies the perfect amount of product to your lips and makes it really easy to get a neat line around the lips without the use of a lip-liner. The product takes a while to set, maybe half an hour at most, but once it has - the product does not move throughout daily talking and drinking. However, as ever with lip products, when eating the majority of product from the centre of the lips is removed. I have worn this for 8 hours before with light eating and no touch ups and the product has only just started to fade in the centre of the lips. I have to say that these products have a really matte finish, but don't feel matte due to the creaminess of the product when applied. They feel more like a lip cream until they have set to their full matte finish.

I have to say that I am absolutely in love with this product and cannot wait to pick up a few more shades. At $6 each (around £4) they definatly do not break the bank and are perfect for day to day wear. To top it off, they now sell NYX on the Boots website, BRILLIANT! I can't wait to order some more. Have you ever tried these products out? What is your favourite shade? and what would you recommend for me to try next from NYX? I would love to hear what you have to say so leave a comment in the box below. Remember to follow on GFC and BlogLovin' if you aren't already so you don't miss out on any future posts.

Lashes & Nails Haul!

Hey Beauts,

Sometimes in life you just have to go to Superdrug and buy the things that you want to make yourself happier. For me, that is nail polish and mascara. I also tried to buy Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealers, but they were out of stock. You obviously can't have everything!

To begin with, nail polish always perks me up so I decided to check out Barry M and see what Nail Paints I wanted to treat myself to this time. I have been lusting over 'Lycee', a beautiful nude shade for months now and decided now would be the time to pick it up. I also wanted a vibrant orange shade as I only have one in my collection & I am not a fan of the formula so I chose 'Mango' to add to my collection. As they were on 3 for 2, I  had to pick up a third colour and so decided upon 'Dragon', a lovely candy pink shade as I don't have anything like it in my collection currently. Barry M Gelly Nail Paints are only £3.99 each, so an absolute bargain in my eyes. I was also after some green shades but couldn't actually find any in the Superdrug that I was in (It is a small Superdrug) so if you have any suggestions on where to buy some different shades of green nail polishes, please let me know in the comments down below!

I have also recently been running out of my Telescopic/The Falsies mascara combination and whilst the L'Oreal Telescopic mascara is my all time favourite, I decided to try out a few others. I picked up The Falsies Waterproof again as I am determined to love this mascara. I also pick up The Colossal Volum' Express as I tried it once about 4 years or so ago and loved it but never purchased it. I know the formula has more than likely changed multiple times, however I really wanted to own it for myself and see if I love it as much as I did that one time I tried it. Lastly I picked up the Lash Sensational mascara as it has literally taken the blogging world by storm and I wanted to get a piece of the action. These mascaras were £7.99 each but were also on offer 3 for 2.

I am so happy with these purchases and cannot wait to start using them. Sometimes you just have to be self indulgent and have a bit of a spending spree when you're feeling low. Don't worry, at the time of writing this post, I am happy again! Have you tried the Lash Sensational yet? What did you think of it? And have you got any recommendations for green nail polishes? I would love to hear what you have to say so please leave your responses in the comments down below. Liz Earle Haul!

Hey Beauts,

After having the photos from my last Liz Earle haul on my computer since Chirstmas, I am forcing myself to post this Liz Earle haul before we have another bunch of wasted photos on our hands. Liz Earle is currently becoming my favourite skin care brand at the moment. The quickness of their shipping, and the offers on their website are so inviting and free products are a bonus when picking out what to try and order next. So without further adieu, here is a Liz Earle haul.

The main reasoning behind this order was the fact that I had run out of my supply of the Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish (Review: Here) and I also wanted a travel friendly skin care kit to take away on holiday with me. I decided on purchasing the 150ml pump bottle of the Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish with 2 muslin cloths for around £20, plus the cannisters make great bath room decorations and are great for hiding ugly bottles in, in the bathroom. I hide baby powder in mine.  The travel kit was around £28 and came with a 50ml pump Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish with 1 muslin cloth, a 50ml tube of Skin Repair Moisturiser for normal/combination skin and a little 50ml bottle of Instant Boost Skin Tonic.

The total so far was around £48 and if you spend over £50 you got free shipping, so I purchased a 30ml spray bottle of Instant Boost Skin Tonic for £6.50 as this is my favourite way to apply the instant boost skin tonic. It is really refreshing to spray it over your face. By spending over £50 also meant that I got 3 free luxury travel size products from the website (it is pot luck what you get). I ended up with another 50ml bottle of Instant Boost Skin Tonic, A 50ml bottle of Shampoo and a 30ml tub of Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish with 1 muslin cloth. Also, because it was the 20th anniversary of Liz Earle, I also received a 15ml of the Superskin Moisturiser worth £14.50 for free.

Overall, I am so happy with Liz Earle. The way they treat their customers and the presentation and speediness of delivery is brilliant and if you haven't already, I strongly recommend you try them out! Have you ever tried anything from Liz Earle before? What do you think of the brand? And what is your favourite product of theirs? Leave a comment down below as I love hearing your thoughts.
