Recent Drugstore Make Up Purchases!

Hey Beauts,

Sometimes when I haven't spent money in a while, hauls like this happen. It's not necessarily something I am proud of, however most things here are something I have wanted to divulge in for a while now and deep down I am secretly so happy that I have spent the money on these beauts for myself. That is what life is.

Essence Lip Liner in Cute Pink 07 & Maybelline ColorSensational in Mauve Mania 342
Essence Lip Liner in Femme Fatale 14 & Revlon Ultra HD in Gladiolus 875

Revlon Colorburst in Striking 240 - Vivacious 120 - Crush 005

Bourjois Blush in Golden Lilac 33 - Bourjois Bronzing Powder in 52

It all started one night whilst picking up a few cleaning essentials whilst in Wilkos. I passed the Collection stand and noticed they actually had their fair shade of the lasting perfection concealer in stock. Without hesitation I popped two of them into my basket and one of the cool medium shade as they were on 3 for 2. At £4.18 each, I couldn't complain but these have for sure gotten more expensive over the years. Whilst there I also decided on the two Essence lip liners at a steal of £1 each.

The next day I somehow ended up at Boots and bought the rest of this haul. The Revlon ColorBurst Balms are something I have been lusting over for well over a year now. They always seem to be on 3 for 2 and the two shades 120 & 005 have never been in stock at the same time. So when I found that they were, I was over the moon and at £7.99 each I can definatly say they are well worth the money. I also could not stop staring at the Revlon Ultra HD lipstick (£7.99) in this stunning red shade which smells amazingly of vanilla.

Still speaking of lipsticks, I wanted to find a lovely mauve/taupe colour to go with my new Essence lip liner and so I decided upon a Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick (£8.99) and whilst there I also couldn't resist picking up a SuperStay 24 Color Lippy (£8.99) as they stay on super well and I just love lipsticks. Plus Maybelline were on 3 for 2 also and I needed a new Lash Sensational (£7.99) In black.

Lastly, I decided to pick up a few face products. I really wanted to try a drugstore bronzer and I've only ever heard great things about the Bourjois bronzing powder (£7.99) and threw it in my basket without hesitation. Still at Bourjois, I spotted this beautiful little round pot blusher (£7.99) and thought it would be a perfect dupe for my beloved (& running out) NARS Orgasm blusher. I then decided this wouldn't be a complete haul without a new foundation so I settled on the Rimmel Match Perfection in 100 Ivory at £7.99. Being there I remembered I actually needed a new Stay Matte Powder in 003 Peach Glow as my current one smashed and so grabbed it at a steal of £3.99.

And that was my haul. What have you been buying lately? Have you tried any of these products? & What do you think of them? I would love to hear all of your thoughts and opinions down in the comments below. Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain Review!

Hey Beauts,

Browsing the shelves of Boots is always a bad idea. You find things that you didn't need - especially when you have no money - And for some strange reason you end up taking all of these exciting new finds to the till and pay for them. Despite not needing them. It's a strange world we live in, but nonetheless this is how you find amazing products.

I have no idea why I decided to pick 005 Parisian Paris (£7.99) up when Summer is well and truly well under way. The deepness of the shade is very daring and maybe it's because I want to be confident enough to wear it when Autumn comes around. But for whatever reason, I am sure I will be loving it by November and the colour is beautiful. However, 015 Barcelona Nights is a stunning bright pink that I have been rocking a lot over the past few weeks! When first applied I really am not a fan of this product. The colour is left streaky and I'm not a fan of lip gloss as my hair always gets stuck in it and I end up with lipgloss all up my cheeks. But once the lipgloss has worn off, I am in love with these. A beautiful colour stains the lips (hence the name of the products) and leaves a vibrant colour that stains your lips for a good majority of the working day. The scent of these are quite chemically but it isn't so overpowering that you can smell them whilst applying the stain.

Overall, I would have to say that this product has a lot of pros and cons. Despite the cons though, these are actually a great product. The colour selection available for these I would say is quite small and similar, however I cannot wait to pick up a red and/or coral shade to add the my collection. Do you own any of these Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains? What do you think of them? Do you agree that the colour is a bit streaky when applied? Let me know in the comments below, I love reading your comments and thoughts. If you aren't already and you'd like to, remember to follow on GFC and BlogLovin' so you don't miss out on future posts.

The Underdog!

Hey Beauts,

When hearing about MAC red lipsticks Russian Red and Ruby Woo are shouted about here, there and everywhere! But one lipstick I have never once heard being spoken about is Brave Red - My most favourite MAC lipstick. Let me tell you why...

As I am sure you can see from the above images, I have used this lipstick to nearly the end of it's life. The colour is fantastic. Who doesn't love a great red? The pigmentation is beautiful, but comes off a little lighter than in the tube (which I appreciate) and leaves my teeth looking really white. The formula is a cremesheen and so packs a lot of moisture. Never once has it left my lips feeling dry and chapped, It even leaves my lips looking slightly glossy and healthy. However because of the moisture filled properties, it isn't the best at staying put - especially after eating a meal.

At £15.50 MAC lipsticks are getting more and more expensive, but as soon as I get to a MAC counter, I will most definatly be repurchasing this, just to have a back-up. Have you ever tried Brave Red? Which is your favourite MAC red? Or do you have another brand red lipstick that you're in love with? I would love to know so leave a comment down below letting me know! Girl Online - My Thoughts!

Hey Beauts,

Zoella - one of the most subscribed youtubers there is. It is only natural for a girl with a following to this extent and that lives off the income to explore other forms of media to live off as lets face it, YouTube isn't going to last forever. Since being released, this book has received such a backlash (that I personally don't think it deserved) because of it having a ghost writer. And what? Did it stop you enjoying the story? I didn't think so.

Girl Online was great, I really enjoyed it. Especially when I had guessed what was coming next, but hadn't guessed the unexpected twists that came with it. Although parts of it were somewhat cheesy (DUH! Its a teen read), other parts took me by complete surprise. The book contained some amazing pieces of advice for not only health, but life aswell. It made me swoon, it made me grin, it even made me cry when I didn't expect too (only having ten pages left!). I just really cannot put into words how much I enjoyed reading the book! It's currently 4am writing this because I felt compelled to blog about the book, and I have just spent 4 hours in the bath reading the final 50% of the book and getting completely lost in the story.

So the book wasn't life-changing, but what do you expect from someone who isn't an author? And although the book was ghost-written, it was just a really enjoyable read. One of the lessons in the book is why say bad things about people online? You don't know their story, you probably don't even know the full story because the media has no-doubtedly manipulated the story in some way or form. So having read the book, It really puzzles me as to why so many people are annoyed and speaking out about their annoyance because of the book being ghost written. Did they even read the book? I even had a friend come round once, and pick the book up off the counter and say 'why are you reading this? It's sounds so cheesy.' and I just replied because I want to. I can't wait to tell her that I actually enjoyed it!

Anyway, I thought it was a lovely story of a girl named Penny and her life when anything she seems to do goes wrong. She learns how to get over panic attacks, how to mature beautifully and most of all - how to have confidence. Of course romance is thrown in for good measure - its a teen girl read. And some loving friends and family, but I recommend this book to anyone who just wants to read something enjoyable.

So have any of you read this book? What were your thoughts? Have you said anything bad and are now thinking twice about what you've written online? I'd love to know so let me know in the comments below. As ever, If you're loving what you're reading you can follow on GFC or BlogLovin' so you don't miss out on future posts.

Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish - Review!

Hey Beauts,

So today I'm writing a lovely review about the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish that literally is Uh-Mazing!

Well, where can I start with this product? It is actually really good! I didn't want to believe the hype when I first heard people talking about this, but one day I wanted to treat myself whilst in Boots and I ended up purchasing this! It was £14.75 for the 100ml pump and 2 muslin cloths. It even all came in a cute little bag, which is perfect for travelling so the cloths don't get dirty or mess up the rest of your suitcase. Having two cloths comes in really handy, especially if one is in the wash so you always have one at hand. My recommendation is definatly on the starter kit, purchasable here.

So how do I use this? Well it says to use on a dry face, but when I'm in the shower, I'm really too lazy to get a towel and dry my face to continue my routine - so I actually use it on a wet face. I pump one or two pumps onto my fingertips (depending on if I want to splurge or not) rub my fingertips together gently and then start massaging it into my face, leaving my eyelashes till last so I don't get mascara all over my face. Then I step back, turn the shower up really hot, get the muslin cloth all wet, squeeze out the out excess water and press is against my face to open up my pores. I then slowly and gently massage my face again with the cloth before wiping away all of the product and finish by turning the shower down to cold and splash the water against my face to close up all my pores. Refreshing! To top it off, this smells divine, like absolutely gorgeous and just adds to how refreshing you feel when you have used this product.

The best thing I have discovered with this product is that it doesn't sting my eyes! My eyes I feel are quite sensitive (Even Simple moisturiser stings) but this has rosemary, chamomile, cocoa butter and eucalyptus essential oil in and still doesn't sting at all. I rub it into my eyelashes (eyes closed of course) and when I open them, I'm fine - It's like I have splashed water in my face or something! UH-MAZING!
I use this both morning and evening (who am I kidding? Most mornings, I'm lazy) and it just keeps my face clean, refreshes my face and in the morning - wakes me up. It smells great, it reduces redness, it doesn't sting, it feels so soothing on the skin, very creamy, a little goes a long way, the bottle lasts ages and its amazing! I couldn't recommend this product any more, Really! Just try it out and you won't regret it. :)

I hope you enjoyed this review, it really does deserve the hype that it has and if you're thinking 'I don't know whether to buy this or not' , just do it. Splurge, feel special about owning it - you won't regret it :) Have you tried this product before? What did you think of the product? And do you think it deserves the hype it has? Comment down below and let me know! If you don't want to miss out on future posts and reviews remember to follow on GFC and BlogLovin! <3

LOVEing Nails!

Hey Beauts,

So last week was Valentine's day and everyone either went cuckoo for love or got upset that they were single. Personally my boyfriend and I don't celebrate it, it's too commercialised for us and his excuse is 'Why do I need a certain day to tell you I love you?'. Plus, it's my birthday the next day so half the time I'm too excited about my birthday to care about Valentine's day, and the fact that I was turning 21 - I was super excited! But this doesn't mean I don't like pink and red and glitter and love hearts, so I am continuing to paint my nails with the Valentine's theme this week as well!
Love hearts and pink are very girly connotations and it just makes me feel very femenine having nails like these, especially when I got lots of compliments on them! So I though I'd show you my nails and give you tips on how I achieved the look at home without special tools and equipment. I believe I only used a toothpick, sellotape and a cotton swab. So here we go! :)

First off, excuse the sloppines on these nails, I took the picture before I cleaned up the edges (whoops). The thumb is just done by swiping the nail polish brush up the nail with three different colours after each layer has dried and then on the thumb, pointer and pinky I have just dabbed the top of the brush on the nail and put on a little red gem that I had in a craft kit. The ring finger is a dark red with a simple chunky glitter on top and the middle finger is done by putting nail polish on a cotton swap and dragged down twice to form the heart and the tip of a toothpick dipped into nail polish dotted around the edge to blur the rough edges of the heart.

The pinky and middle fingers are just a plain colour with two different types of glitter on top - one fine glitter, one chunky glitter. The pointer finger was done by pulling purple polish up the nail in lines with a toothpick (I personally don't like this nail) and the hearts were done by cutting a love heart out of some sellotape and painting over the pattern on my nail (The pink heart is my favourite).

I hope you all enjoyed this quick post. I think you can wear nails like this at any time through out the year as they are just happy, lovely nails! If you recreate them, write a blog post and comment down below or tweet them to me here; TWITTER. Comment down below if you like these nails or what you would change about them if you could. I love inspiration for my nails, especially if it comes from you beauts! :D Tell me what you did for Valentine's day too! I know I don't celebrate it but I love hearing your stories. Also I was wondering if you would like a birthday haul seeing as though it was my birthday but I don't know if you'd be interested in that? Again comment down below and remember to follow on Bloglovin' and GFC so you don't miss the post if I decided to do it! :D <3
