LUSH haul!

Hey Beauts,

A couple of weeks ago I ventured into a shop that smelt delicious! My nostrils were filled with the unique scent of everything. I'm sure you can guess where I was...Yep, that's right - LUSH! I couldn't resist not picking up a few products to try and I thought I would show you just what I got.

As you can can tell, I only picked up a few items this visit. I first picked up a 250g pot of Ocean Salt at £13.95. If you have been with me for a while, you will know how much I love this product (Review here), how soft it makes my skin and how refreshingly lovely the scent is as soon as you lift the lid. Next up I picked up a cleanser that literally smells like a baking cupcake. It contains real popped popcorn to exfoliate and cinnamon to leave your skin feeling revived and that combination alone leaves your mouth watering. At £6.75 for 100g, I could not leave Let the Good Times Roll behind. Finally, I wanted to give my feet a little pamper session so I decided to pick up a foot mask called Volcano at £6.50 for 125g. It contains Potatoes, tomatoes and papaya and really doesn't smell that good at all. It also contains Pumice to exfoliate, so if it does soften my feet, I can definatly forgive the scent. The lovely lady at LUSH also threw in a sample of the FairTrade foot lotion that smells of melted candy canes to use in line with volcano.

I cannot wait to try these products out and get back to you with my thoughts! Have you ever tried any of these products? How well did they work for you? And have you ever smelt Volcano? Isn't is horrid, haha! Comment down below as I love reading all of your lovely comments and remember to follow on GFC and Blog Lovin' if you aren't already so you don't miss out on future posts.

Mid-Month Must Haves February 2014!

Hey Beauts,

So since my mid-monthly must haves went down so well last month, I decided I would do it all again this month! So without further ado - my mid-monthly must haves! :D

First up is make-up and I've discovered some absolutely brilliant staples that are completely worth the hype that surrounds them on-line and within the blogging/vlogging community!

Kate Moss Rimmel Lipstick 01 (RRP: £5.49) This is my favourite, favourite, most favouritest drug store red lipstick by far (You're clever if you see what I did there). I love how similar this is to my all time favourite MAC red lip. The texture, the lastability, the colour and the smell is also amazing! :D This would be a definite dupe for MAC - Brave Red.
Maybelline Color Tattoo in On & On Bronze! (RRP: £4.99) Review here. Now this is the only colour I own at the moment and I can't wait to get paid so I can purchase a couple more - especially Eternal Gold as it's super pretty. It's super creamy and stays put, it blends well up into the crease and inner eye and just looks beautiful. I personally thought it was too dark when I first got it but I think it's perfect to get yourself into darker eyeshadows.
Naked 3! (RRP: £37) At first I really hated this palette but now I'm loving it. The colours are still a bit ehh-meh and produce quite a bit of fall out but I've learnt you can create some beautiful looks with them. Useful, I love it, But I prefer the Naked 2.
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush! (RRP: £9.99) Amazing for both foundation and concealer. Love, love, love love it! :D 'Nuff said!
Real Techniques Delux Crease Brush! (RRP: £-) Personally don't see the point in this brush, but every time I use it, my crease it has transformed my eyeshadow and it looks beautifully blended!
Real Techniques Angled Brow Brush! (RRP: £-) This brush is absolutely brilliant. I don't know if it's because I've never used an angled brush for my brows before or if I have just not used a good brush before. But this brush is perfect and easy to use and I never mess up using it!
Collection Lasting Perfection Conceal Light & Medium! (RRP: £4.19) Staple product. I use the light under my eyes and the medium for blemishes on the rest of my face. It's perfect, creamy and doesn't crease. I won't go into too much detail because so many others have! But I agree with the hype, it's seriously amazing! :)
L'oreal Eye Shadow Brush! (RRP: £-) This was just a free brush that my mum got for free with a L'oreal purchase at some point in her life. I wish L'oreal sold these brushes because I would definatly buy them. This one though is perfect with the color tattoo and that's that!
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder! (RRP: £3.99) The perfect powder for a matte face. I find that I don't need to top it up for about 6 hours or so and it just completes my make-up and makes my skin look flawless.
L'oreal Telescopic Mascara! (RRP: £10.99) The PERFECT mascara! It's lovely and black, gets into every corner and separates lashes perfectly.
Sleek Blush in Pomegranate! (RRP: £4.49) This blush has such amazing pigmentation. I hardly tap my brush into the powder, tap off the excess and can do a whole cheek, with usually too much colour on the cheek. The colour is also super beautiful on the skin too, especially mine! :D
Tweezerman Nail Clippers! (RRP: £12.00) The straight-edge of these is amazing for easily giving yourself square cut nails. Super easy to use and very durable!

Naked 3;Blackheart, Sleek Blush; Pomegranate, Maybelline Color Tattoo; On & On Bronze and Rimmel Lipstick; 01

Next up: Body and hair products!

Ocean Salt Face Scrub - LUSH! (RRP: £13.20) Review here. I do have a full review on this product, but I really do like it as a face scrub. The stinging has subsided quite a bit too now which is great and every time I use it I feel ultra refreshed and my skin glows afterwards!
Passion Fruit Shower Gel - The Body Shop! (RRP: £-) I bought this on a whim just because it was on sale at £2 or £3 (I don't really remember) But I've been loving the scent and just how the scent fills the shower. The Body Shop really have been surprising me lately! :D
Soap and Glory - The Breakfast Scrub! (RRP: £8.00) Review here. This product has been lasting ages and I continue to use it every time I wash my hair - So I use it regulary, but the tub is still half full! Plus that smell <3
L'oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray So Sleek! (RRP: £4.20) This stuff is amazing for taming those little fly aways that annoy the hell out of me! Plus, for a hair spray it smells amazing! Quite floral and lovely!
Vanilla Lace Body Spray - Victoria's Secret! (RRP: £-) I get complimented on this every time I spray it on my skin off of my boyfriend. 'You smell like cupcakes' I would hear and I will not complain - Who doesn't love cup cakes?!
Juicy Coture Perfume 30ml! (RRP: £35.00) This is the original Juicy Coture perfume scent! It's not a very young person scent but I love it! It makes me feel very grown up and special and I recommend it so much but everyone always has Viva la juicy. Try this one for once! :D

How about some fun random little Mid-Month Must Haves?

Favourite Song: Clean Bandit - Rihanna! This song just really relaxes me, calms me down and puts me in a happy mood! I've been listening to it constantly on repeat for the past couple of weeks!
Favourite Film: The LEGO Movie! I have one thing to say about this movie and if you get it, you're great - 'Everything is Awesome!'
Favourite App: Twitter! I'm getting back into Twitter more nowadays! I don't post as much as I used to because I don't want to start posting negative, unhappy and pessimistic posts again! But I want to start communicating with you beauts more and I hear Twitter is the way forwards!
Favourite Blog: Uh Hels Yeah! I really love this blog, but she hasn't posted for a couple of weeks now so hopefully a new post is due! I believe she's at Uni right now so she might have a dissertation due or something but I really like the vibe I get from her personality! It's very friendly and loving so go check this blog out! :D

So that's that for my second 'Mid-Month Must Haves'. Leave your opinions of these products down below! Did you get on with them? Or did you hate them? Tell me down below so I can hear your opinions! And remember to follow on GFC and Bloglovin' so you don't miss out on anything!

Ocean Salt - Review!

Hey Beauts,

So today I'm bringing you a review of Ocean Salt from LUSH which is apparently a face and body scrub that brightens and softens your skin! Time to give you my honest review (Mwahahahaha)!
Now if I were to talk to you in terms of this being a body scrub, I would literally tell you to not bother wasting your £13.25 and instead go and purchase Soap and Glory's Breakfast Scrub at £8.00. To start with the tub doesn't last very long. I got about half way and realised it didn't really do anything. Yes, my skin felt soft, but not too much softer than normal and I loved the feeling the salt chunks left on my skin, but the product continued to decrease rapidly and I really felt like I'd wasted my money. The smell was beautiful and absolutely refreshing and awakening for a morning shower, but again I couldn't justify the smell of limes and vodka (Yes, you heard right) or the feeling of salt on my skin for £13.25.

I had wanted this product for so long, I'd heard so many good things about it and I was so disappointed when I used it, which is why I put off writing this post for so long. But then I discovered something which changed everything! :D One day (and half a tub later) I realised you could use this on your face. That is wear my opinions were completely turned around with this product.
It's quite a face-stingy product. The Salt. The Limes. The Vodka. But it does an amazing job at clearing away the dead skin, the salt means you can really feel as though you are exfoliating your dead skin away and getting rid of the dirt your face has claimed. The Vodka soaked limes do a great job and refreshing your face and really brightening your complexion and finally the avocado butter, coconut oil and seaweed really leave your skin feeling soft and happy again after the sting of the salt, vodka and lime.
What's more is after using this on my face, I discovered that you hardly need to use any and it lasts so much longer, meaning it is actually worth the £13.25. The smell is just an added bonus and really awakens my senses in the morning. Lime just smells pretty amazing and is great at kick starting my brain. Although as I said, It is quite cleansing and I wouldn't recommend using this more that 2-3 times a week - It will probably leave your face red raw.

This is a very dis-jointed review, I know, but that is just because it isn't exactly the softest product. It hurts slightly to use, but it does an amazing job! Especially if followed up with the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish. If you enjoyed this post, or the rest of my blog remember to follow on GFC and Blog Lovin' so you don't miss anything and remember to comment down below and tell me if you have tried Ocean Salt before? Did you get along with it? and did it sting your face too? <3
